A women's model of the classic American field jacket M65. The M65 field jacket was worn by, among others, Sylvester Stallone in Rambo, Liam Neeson in the film Run All Night, Robert De Niro in the film Taxi Driver and Woody Allen in Annie Hall. So there is no doubt that the M65 field jacket is a real cult model.
Olive green is the classic color for the jacket. But what is it now that makes the jacket so special?
The M65 jacket has several details that make it classic for the model. Examples of this are the spacious chest pockets and the side pockets, which in turn are closed with large flaps. It is the raised collar that protects the neck from wind and water, often with a hidden hood folded in like on this jacket. Then the jacket has a fabric that withstands both wind and water.
The inside is covered in a quilt lining that can also be unbuttoned from the outer jacket itself. This not only extends the season from the jacket, as the warm lining can be removed. It also means that the outer jacket and the inner jacket can be washed separately.
