Black Panther is Marvel's superhero from the fictional East African country of Wakanda. Both Black Panther and Wakanda were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and first appeared in the comic book Fantastic Four # 52 in 1966. Black Panther is actually called T'Challa and he is the king and protector of his country Wakanda.
T'Challa gets developed abilities through an ancient ritual from Wakanda where he drinks the liquid from a heart-shaped flower. In addition to these developing abilities, T'Challa is knowledgeable in science, has rigorous physical training and is extremely skilled in hand-to-hand combat. Wakanda is also more technologically developed than other countries in the world and this knowledge is used, among other things, in the Black Panthers' costume, which gives him extra advantages in battle.
T'Challa is the Black Panther that we mainly get to follow in magazines and movies. But the fact is that Black Panther is a role that is from generation to generation and over the years there must have been very many different Black Panthers.
Wakanda also has the only country in the world that mines the fictitious metal Vibranium. A metal that, among other things, absorbs sound waves and other vibrations, which makes the metal stronger. Vibranium is said to have come to earth in a meteorite and was used, among other things, to create Captain America's shield.
