M51 US parka jacket.

The M51 jacket is an American field jacket used by the US Army during the 1950s. It is a development of the previous M43 jacket and the jackets have many similarities.

The M51 jacket has four pockets on the front of the jacket. Two large breast pockets and two large side pockets.

This new version of the M51 jacket is made with a much more modern style to suit the civilian market.

The jacket has a removable lining, which significantly lengthens the jacket season. At warm temperatures you can unbutton the stuffed warm lining and at colder temperatures you simply snap on the lining again.

The M51 jacket was made to withstand more extreme weather with a lot of rain and debris. This has been taken into account in this newer version of the M51 jacket. The fabric is combined with cotton and nylon.
