About Cardigan.

Cadrigan or kofta is a type of knitted jacket from the 16th century, but as an overlay for women it has been in use since the 1700s. The tricoted jacket was used during the 19th century.

The cardigan is a long sleeved straight knit cardigan. Usually it is v-necked and has a raglan cropping. Originally, there was a military jacket of brushed, knit up my dangle of fur. The garment got its name in 1854 after the commander, the seventh earl of Cardigan, James Thomas Brudenell who lived between 1797-1868.

In the 1900s, the powerless model came in and in the 1960s it became a big fashion thanks to the musical My Fair Lady.
Today's Cardigan.

Now the fashion changes very quickly and from the thin light cardigan or the coffin, the long and even thicker models of the garment have become very popular. As you can look at some of our models, there are also the models where you have a shared side from the bottom up to the waist but this is on the long models to get a little extra comfortable and get an extra nice look.

The cardigans you see today have very little to do with those used by the military in the 19th century, almost all that is the same is that it's a knitted sweater.
