M90 US cooper backpack medium.
A light backpack that despite its compact size still gives you a good packing capacity. Three layers of compartments expand on top of each other in a way that prevents them from stealing volume space for each other.
The camouflage on the backpack:
The backpack is made of the Swedish M90 camouflage. A camo adapted to sink into the typical Swedish terrain. M90 was developed for the Swedish military during the 60s and is still used.
Front compartments:
At the front of the backpack are two compartments. Both compartments have been fitted with fastening loops for MOLLE systems on the outside. Here you can expand the backpack with modules or attach packing with carabiners or the like.
The upper of the two compartments is a little smaller and about 18 x 13 cm. It is a simple pocket that closes with a zipper.
Under this pocket there is a larger compartment which is also closed with a zipper. This compartment is approximately 19 x 24 cm. Inside the compartment there is a pocket and four pen compartments. The pocket is about 13 x 15 cm.
Middle compartment:
The middle compartment is a single large compartment. The compartment has a zipper with double runners that goes a little more than halfway down both sides of the compartment.
The compartment is about 21 x 40 cm and with its depth, the compartment offered a good packing surface.
In the compartment there is a pocket of about 15 x 12½ cm and two pockets in mesh fabric of about 7cm x 10 cm.
Rear compartment:
The largest compartment in the backpack is what is found along the back of the compartment. This compartment is about 24 x 45 cm. This compartment has a zipper that extends all the way down under the backpack, which allows the compartment to be opened completely. This facilitates the packing of larger items.
In the back wall of the compartment there is a pocket that closes with a zipper. The pocket is about 22 x 13 cm.
In the wall towards the middle compartment there is a large pocket in mesh fabric. This pocket is about 22 x 22 cm.
Carrying the backpack:
US Cooper's great functionality is that despite its compact design, it still manages to swallow a lot of packing. The backpack's compartments are made so that they build outwards and therefore do not steal space for each other.
But if you want to get a lot of packing, it also requires that the backpack is comfortable to carry with all the packing in. The US Cooper in M90 camo is equipped with a soft and thick padding against the back. The same padding is also found on the backpack's shoulder straps.
As extra support, there is a chest strap to button over the chest and a strap around the waist. These allow you to tighten the backpack so it sits still against your back and the weight is distributed over the body.
Compress the depth of the backpack after packing:
The backpack is equipped with six compression straps that can be tightened. When these are tightened, the depth of the backpack is adjusted after packing and you avoid a half-full backpack hanging due to all the emptiness.
The backpack can once again sit stably against your back.
