Black dogtags necklace - ID badge.
Two black ID tags in American style. A chain that is attached to the upper washer and around the neck, and a washer on a smaller chain that hangs down.
If the person wearing the necklace died in a battle, for example, the idea was that the badge hanging at the bottom would be picked up so that the person would be reported as fallen. The upper tray then hung to be able to identify the body.
Dogtags have become a popular accessory during the post-war period along with other military surpluses.
Around the trays are rubber rings that will silence the trays from rattling when they hit each other.
